    NO benny

    NO means NO

Let me break it down for ya

    Disneyland Resort (DLR) is No.01A
it is the original park that Walt Disney built and was hands-on from the start till finish and grand opening.

Walt Disney World (WDW) ia No.01B
Walt started to build this park until his death. somewhere at the start of it all.
Walt Disney died on December 15, 1966, during construction of the complex. Without him spearheading the construction, the company built a resort similar to Disneyland, abandoning the experimental concepts for a planned community.

I like DLR because its a more intimate setting and it was Walt's original "baby"

I like WDW because of its size and complexity of it all. It is 2nd to my liking.

    So,
you can grade the other resorts any way you want because its NOT here in the USA
    in my humble opinion.

We disagree. The stateside parks aren't the best, IMO.

I've been to every Disney park on the planet. All of them multiple times except Shanghai (because it just opened). It goes in this order:

    1. Tokyo Disney Resort
    2. Disneyland
    3. Hong Kong Disneyland
    4. Shanghai Disneyland
    5. Walt Disney World
    6. Disneyland Paris/Studios

Paris has quite a bit good going for it... Phantom Manor, the Jules Verne inspired Space Mountain, Big Thunder on an island accessed via tunnel, the "updated" Pirates of the Caribbean (which has since been FAR surpassed by Shanghai). But it's got issues. Including the horrible fucking people. I figured the whole "french people are assholes" thing was just hyperbole. Holy shit, no. They're really assholes.

agree to disagree : DLR and WDW are the two original parks that Walt "touched".

He has nothing to do with the parks outside of the USA - That's corporate Disney, NOT the man himself.

    "Nuff" said. :beerplz:

    p.s.
Considering your comment about the French assholes, I'd rather NOT mingle with the rest of the other foreighn riff-raff all over the world. Its bad enough to rub elbows with the local red necks stateside.

No such thing as "best Disney park". They are all evil places full of the worst types of tourists, trapped in a place designed to extract the maximum amount of cash from mom and dads bank accounts with the illusion that it's going to make little Johnny and Annie love them more and grow to be well adjusted adults because mom and dad put $5k on their credit card at 20% interest and make the minimum monthly payments.

The question was which is the best Disney park. Not which one was best that he touched. The nostagia factor is through the roof at Disneyland, for sure. I get goosebumps listening to the proper Tiki Room, complete with the enchanted fountain, knowing Walt stood right there.

Seriously, you would do yourself a huge favor to visit Tokyo's parks. They're insane. Completely insane. And the people are incredible. The Japanese are polite, respectful, helpful, and cheery. Hong Kong shortly behind. Shanghai was a bit crazy... Parents holding their toddlers over trash cans to shit, sleeping like a homeless person stretched out in the walkways... Old ladies trying to sell knock off mickey and minnie ears when workers weren't looking (for real)... I already commented on the French... Who in my opinion are only slightly lower rated than the people you encounter in Orlando. 400 lb scooter riders that will argue with you and workers and anyone else in their way of getting little Timmy on every single ride as fast as possible because "they paid a lot of money to be there" on their once in a lifetime trip. Ugh.

I've said it to you before, but TOKYO. TOKYO TOKYO TOKYO. It costs more to get there, but everything is a lot cheaper once you're there (park tickets, food, etc). You can stay on the monorail loop at the Sheraton for very reasonable prices, or even points if you have them.

You have no idea. My youngest daughter (10) was upset a couple nights ago because it's been too long since we were at a Disney resort and wanted to know when we'll be going back. Then my middle daughter added to the chorus saying we needed to go back. She's 20, and has something near 40 total trips to various Disney resorts under her belt.

I told them both they would have to just tough it out this year and try to get by with the two weeks we're spending on Maui in June.

I hear just last year that Paris has really turned itself around - my niece in London went twice and really noticed a difference in guest interaction and just a general friendliness that she had not experienced a few years ago.
