This is sort of interesting though... the lead voice in the song “grim grinning ghosts” in the haunted mansion is a voice you know well... Thurl Ravenscroft...

He was the voice of Tony the Tiger.

Here’s the music for mystic manor (Hong Kong’s version of the haunted mansion)... by Danny elfman... you can hear the similarities to Edward scissorhands. :)

Guess I'll need to be brave and get myself to the Phantom Manor. Or maybe someone uploaded the ride to Youtube. ;)

Yes, it's always been one of my favorite soundtracks as well.

SO I just watched the whole thing- don't think it's better than Orlando Disney's Mansion but it's good.

It’s just a bit darker. I enjoy ours more too probably.

Mystic manor in Hong Kong is my favorite for sure though. It’s not about ghosts because that wouldn’t work with the chinese culture, so it’s about a powerful music box... and a monkey. :)

TR also sang “You’re a Mean One, Mr. Grinch” (Fun fact about Grinch: the guy who wrote the music played Mr. Shorofsky in Fame.)

Eisner insisted the park gate go under the hotel. Pretty cool idea. Plus they could charge big Time money for the park facing rooms. Many hotels since have followed suit.

oh, is that a hotel too? i know there was a few different themed hotel somewhere near by.
I took train in from Paris and train back into Paris at end of the day. That was my first time at a Disney property, so hard for me to compare it to Fl or Calif. i've been to Great Adventure parks in NJ , and a couple of other parks.
from reading this thread, i wish i went into Phantom Manor. i went on the other rides though. Park was pretty empty at least.

Yeah, about 5 years ago a park facing room was $1200 per night. I'm sure it's $1700ish or more at this point. We stayed at their New York hotel just because it was middle of the road and we knew we wouldn't be in the room very much.

Disneyland Paris is probably the most beautiful Disney park. The castle with the hillside is IMO the best looking castle of them all. Did you go into the caverns under the castle and see the dragon? A pretty cool touch, and it's just there for the hell of it.
