    Sort of, kind of.
I took a commuter shuttle plane :scared: from Providence R.I. to NYC in 1989.
We landed and ran from our plane to the departing gate.
I didn't see the USA for another two years after that.
It was a glorious time for DF.
BTW, I'd never heard some many different languages being said while I was running from gate to gate.
    Melting pot.

You may have been in NYC but you weren't in Manhattan, there are no airports in Manhattan, you're even lucky to find a gas station there.

Other than flying in to NYC and renting a car and driving to Philly and a layover or two I've never been to NYC. There are a ton other places within 3,000 miles I'd rather go.

I grew up in the area so it was just a train ride away, it's a great place, and the center of the known Universe. Had I never gone it would be on my top 5 list of places to go in the USA. Plus there are only like 10 places in the entire USA I wanted to go and I've been to most of them.

In the late 70s I saw Geraldo Rivera getting a drink from a water fountain while he was jogging. A pretty girl walked by and he continued his drinking while he watched her ass. What a professional.

Worked all over the city for forty years as an electrician, like it or hate it there is no other place like it in the world. I only go there occasionally now to hear some music or see a Broadway show and enjoy the night life.

I’m a life long New Yorker, I worked in Manhattan and have been there many times. I wouldn’t want to live there but it’s a great place to visit. The beauty of Central Park, the Museums, Theaters, Restaurants, shopping and people watching can’t be beat. It’s very fast paced and there is always something going on. Before Times Square was cleaned up, it was a sleaze fest with hookers on parade, sex shops, XXX movie theaters, drug dealers and shabby arcades. That’s all gone and it’s safe and clean.

One of the coolest things I ever did, and only because I had a friend who was studying art was go to the Metropolitan Museum of Art and see artwork worth billions of dollars by Van Gogh and Rembrandt and all the masters of great are plus many other cool exhibitions.

I’ve been to NYC prolly 15 different times. Great city. If @JameGumb can make it there, he can make it anywhere.
