Canceled my cable tv 6 months ago.

Installed an ad blocker in firefox about 5 months ago.

    Don't read the newspaper.

Don't go out often (work at home).

What the hell is going on out there?

Any new products that I should know about?

I've been wanting to cancel my cable service too. $146.00/month and it's all bullshit programming and the shittiest DVRs ever.

My cable bill was about $70 but I never watched TV other than old reruns and random shows on the History channel so I said "fuck it" and cancelled the whole thing. Then I downloaded a shitload of tv shows through torrents. Now I have probably every episode of a bunch of good shows (Simpsons, Seinfeld, Family Guy, Married with Children, Curb, etc) that I watch every day during lunch/dinner. And I get movies through Netflix/Redbox. My monthly "tv" bill is probably about $15 now.
