Never been here and don't really have any plans. What should I do?
You here for work or pleasure?
Pleasure. Went to Oktoberfest in Munich then a wedding in Pamplona. Had a few days to spare and wanted to try someplace new so here we are.
Go south to killorglin and killarney.
Where are you staying? How much time do you have? Renting a car?
Do you guys drink?
Go to Jameson's for an hour to say you were there and then get out of Dublin if you have the time. Dublin is meh at best. It's the countryside that is where you want to be.
Drumcondra until tomorrow. Then Ballsbridge. No car. Pretty much came to drink.
Doing the Jameson tour. That's about the only thing we have planned in the city. We're taking a tour to Galway and another place, just not sure which days. Also I have my drone so I'll take some pics if it's not raining.
Guinness tour and Grafton St. Shanahan’s on the Green Steak House.
Check out the big tours. People seem to like teelings whiskey tour better than Jameson.
To me best tourist thing is kilmainham gaol but that's very popular.
From ballsbrodge, you can pretty much walk to town. Lots of friendly people in all the pubs.
Maybe take the train out to howth for a hill Walk or dun laoighaire on sunday for the food market.
There is a good outdoor food market in merrion square for.lunch today. I think it should be on although there is a climate protest happening in the park.
Glasnevin cemetery is cool and not far from drumcondra.
Try and check out the long hall for a drink. A classic.
Do an evening in temple bar. Very touristy but can be fun.
Let me know if you wamt restaurant suggestions.
Are you staying at the D4 hotel in ballsbridge?
Good site for drinking in Dublin
Thank you. We will consider all of the above.
Let me know how you get on or if you have any questions.
Dublin is small, so you can see most of it in a short time.
I will check this thread whenever I have wifi and I will message you if I have any questions. Heading out soon. Just gonna stumble around until the tour.
Remember, drumcondra is the north side which is considered the less "salubrious" side of Dublin.
You'd have to cross the river liffey to be on the Southside.
Ballsbridge is definitely Southside and fairly posh
You should of come to England , far too much more to do than shitty Ireland.
Yeah it's kind of dumpy here. Last minute booking. Don't plan on spending much time here. Just a launching point until we move tomorrow
Been there. Wanted to go somewhere new.
