There’s nothing more annoying than typing a long sentence out, only to discover that you’ve had Caps Lock on the whole time.

But help is at hand, thanks to a ‘life-changing’ keyboard trick that has been revealed on Twitter.
The trick was revealed in response to a tweet, which read: “Typing away only to realise cAPS LOCK HAS BEEN ACCIDENTALLY PUT ON AND YOU HAVE TO START THE WHOLE DAMN THING AGAIN.”

Rachel Hawkins, who works for a charity in Bristol, replied: “Highlight it all then shift + F3.”

I always check to see what I did on the first word. It ain't my first time at the keyboard.

My life changing keyboard trick was to learn how to type when I was in 10th grade. That way I can look at the screen and see what I'm typing instead of staring at the keyboard like a moron.

The fact that this is “life changing” to Benny is sad, and says a lot.

I always find it amusing that some people find reading something in all caps to be offensive.

I'm amazed at how I see people in there 20's and 30's today, pecking away with one finger, staring at the keyboard. Whatever school they went to failed them miserably.

Obviously they don’t teach typing nowadays.

I took it for 2 years - first year on a manual, which then nearly would break my poor old computer way back when. Then a second year on electric. Got me to close to 100 wpm, which helped immensely when coding.

It was an elective only when I was in jr and sr high school in the 80s. I took 3 or 4 semesters of it - most useful thing I ever learned.

In today’s computer age, it should be required.

Not just grade school either. But the last few years we had a slew of college grads who were plain ignorant. Not a shine of education in them.
