We’ll probably know more in the coming weeks about the specific condition that is sidelining Jagger. I just had breakfast with a friend who was marveling at how those guys can still be doing what they do SO WELL at their ages. We laughed about how when our parents were 75, we kept an eye on them as they walked up a few steps at our houses, or whatever...The Rolling Fucking Stones are playing football stadiums. Stadium shows beat the hell out of bands in their 30’s. It’s just harder work. The last time they did the stadiums, I read that Jagger covered over two miles per show, in addition to all of the singing. His tour training regimen includes 6 mile runs, a healthy diet and he’s been doing yoga for 50 years. I’m hoping that whatever he has he can beat, but if this is it, it’s been the most impressive run ever and there’s not a chance that anyone else will come anywhere near it.

    Everything's gonna be alright.:)

    https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/20...-physical-injury-sustained-tour-preparations/

Mick Jagger has delayed concerts after suffering from a “physical injury” sustained during tour preparations, sources have confirmed.

The Rolling Stones frontman sent shockwaves around the world and fans into a frenzy when it was announced that the band had postponed their tour of the US and Canada because Jagger had fallen ill.

In a statement, the band said that doctors had advised Jagger, 75, not to tour because he needs to receive medical treatment.

"I really hate letting you down like this," the singer wrote in a statement to fans which was published on his social media channels on Saturday night. "I'm devastated for having to postpone the tour but I will be working very hard to be back on stage as soon as I can."

Despite panic from fans about the long-term health of the rock star, sources have confirmed to The Telegraph that Jagger is in perfectly good health, but has in fact only injured himself after training for shows.

A source close to Jagger, who follows a strict diet and exercise regime, said: “It’s not a mystery illness, it’s a physical injury as a result of his strenuous pre-tour preparations. Doctors have told him to take it easy and to concentrate on his recovery. “

Sounds like Mick didn’t stretch and ended up pulling a hammy.

The Stones should suit up Sammy Hager as the front man, then the tour goes on!

Mick Jagger's father was a gym teacher, and he instilled the importance of physical fitness at a really early age. Doing calisthenics and running were part of his daily regimen, and he has kept it up his whole life. It's why he's still super thin and in good shape.

For as much as everybody makes the cheap joke about their age, these guys really bring it every show. You're watching this concert, the music is still tight, and you have to remind yourself that these guys are 75 YEARS OLD.

I doubt that they need the money (but they'll still take it just the same), but "being a Rolling Stone" is just who they are and what they do. Quitting the band and doing something else is just not an option. Give them credit for keeping it together and doing it for so long--and appreciate it as something you'll never see again.

I agree with everything you said except that they bring it. Jagger is terrible live. Just one opinion.

Mick’s having a heart valve replaced. It’s a relatively low-risk procedure. This article says he should be able to tour this summer.

    ETA: Article is on D A I L Y M A I L website. I guess direct links can’t be posted here.

:dontknow: who knew he had a heart valve. must have been from all the hard drug use back in the days.

He also has eight kids, even a toddler . I read that article.
