lol@drake was in on Kawhis negotiations with the Raptors.

Boogie's injury cost him about $150 million. He's gotta be pissed that KD is getting a max deal with the same injury he had.

    Yeah, I know.

But, KD is on a higher level than Boogie.

The Nets are paying KD based on past accomplishments and not thinking about what happens to the majority of athletes who come back from a torn achilles.

    They're almost never the same.

Adrian Peterson may be the exception.

Even if he was healthy, would Boogie have gotten that max contract? He's historically been a malcontent, and he's the type of player who would have been a superstar against Patrick Ewing and David Robinson, but the way this current era is played...eh, I'm not sure his style fits it.

Cousins and Davis both would have been David Robinson in the 90’s now they are somewhat better versions Kevin Love

    Lakers won’t make the playoffs

Did Peterson tear his Achilles? I remember that happening much later in his career

The only major athlete I know who ruptured an Achilles and came back to play several more years was Vinny Testaverde in football and he played drop back qb

The only nba player I know who came back from an Achilles was Demarcus Cousins and he only was a part time player last year and had another injury

Maybe Durant will be fine. It’s difficult to tell

I could've sworn he tore his achilles, but I guess not.

    Couldn't find anything.

    My bad.

Oh man, Kawhis contract is only two years plus a one.
Great move on his part. Can still sign a max after two years for $209M. WOW

Not to toot my own horn but 3 weeks ago I said the smartest decision he needed to make would be to only sign a 2+1

The thrust of your point — athletes don’t come back from torn Achilles 100% — was on point though
