put in some earbuds and chill to this.
it's a favorite these days.
Sometimes when I’m listening to Coltrane, I imagine A plane, flying through little targets in the air, all at different heights. Late at night i often want music that makes me imagine a silk curtain draping over a table, or lowering over a stage, or something.
Not sure if that makes any sense
That town I'd mentioned that you might want to check out has a fantastic Jazz festival every year. Seems like it's been going since the 60's. That's actually what got me into it.
I liked both artists you posted. Black Flower leans a little more towards my current tastes, but I think I might have to burn a Georgia Ann CD so I can listen to it through my Klipsch speakers. She has an unusual layered sound that oddly enough reminds me of some of the earlier Pink Floyd instrumentals.
Manchester Orchestra, Harkin & Sarah Silverman Share Frightened Rabbit Covers
I ain’t even listened yet, but AOTY.
Nice. A couple days ago I was Listening to “piñata.” Such an amazing record. Will check this out.
Thom Yorke’s album is wonderful. Highly recommend.
Black Keys was decent. Pretty catchy, and definitely rocky (the album title, “Let’s Rock” wasn’t just a clever name.
About to listen to the “Bandana” album that @MotorCityCobra posted
Finally! After 8 pages I found something l like!
Haven’t listened to the whole thing yet but it’s great so far. You’re right about Piñata, so good, going to be hard to top. I don’t know if you’ve heard it or not but here’s a pretty good Piñata remix project from a few years back.
The long awaited Black Keys album "Lets Snooze" has just been released.
Looking forward to the new King Gizzard "thrash" record.
New Hollywood Vampires.
Note, Jeff Beck featured on track #6 and they cover Jim Carroll's "people who Died"
I was lucky to see Big Country on the first US tour they did. What a great band.
RIP. Stuart Adamson.
Against Me! did a pretty good job of covering that song recently also.
I stand by my prediction, Album Of The Year 2019.
I like this Kevin Morby kid OK, I guess
He finds a way to elevate that folky, thinky roots thing
New 75 Dollar Bill album is really good.
Same. Fishing for Fishies grew on me, but really looking forward to something with a little more umph to it.
Yea, I really liked it. Probably not number one, but definitely up there on my list. I am assuming you have heard the album Pinata, yea? It is their previous album. It is perfect.
He smokes live, as well. I highly recommend him if he comes to your area.
I can't say enough about how good Kim Simmonds guitar playing sounds at 71 years old on this album.
This is by far the best new blues I've heard in awhile. 56 min of smoking hot blues.
I seen Savoy brown in the mid 1990's and Kim was not playing this good, maybe an off night I don't know.
