He came in as his turrets character. Radio gold

Everyone is firing on all cylinders -- Artie, Gary, Howard...even Robin is funny. I'm laughing out loud, which is rare these days.

Watched some stuff on the internet about him. Not a wrestling fag but I find this stuff fascinating

Maybe I'll post the audio if you can't find it elsewhere

It's almost painful to watch how well the show ran in this era because it makes the current show look like amateur hour. Everyone contributing in a non-forced manner. Really funny stuff

He's the reason they started referring to Sirius as eh-eh-eh, right? Radio station was pissed that Stern was turning the last year of his radio contract into a commercial for satellite radio

No. He was barred from saying the word Sirius cuz he turned every show into a giant commercial. He was even suspended for a day. Eventually he got around it by saying eh eh eh but brass was still very pissed. They never mentioned the Gold Dust guy had anything to do with it. It just sounded better than saying BEEEP OR BLEEP.

Funny stuff. Classic. All on censored radio, too.

I liked the idea of them having the freedom of being able to say whatever they wanted, but sometimes that freedom lead to laziness where just saying fuck a bunch of times was seen as adequately funny, without actually bringing the funny.

First couple of years on Sirius, the uncensored stuff was stellar.

But, it wasn't the freedom to say anything that killed the show. It was the freedom from ratings.
