When Battlestar got, imo, lazy and went mystical with the storyline, I was really disappointed, since it was so good for several years. The episode Exodus with the Galactica appearing in atmosphere with guns blazing on a rescue mission is one my favorite episodes of anything ever.

Best sci-fi in years. Three solid seasons worth of episodes.

The Amazon interface is clumsy as fuck. Just saying.

Good to know. I'm 3-4 in so I've got some binging to do.

    Cheers

Agreed, awfule GUI... as far as streaming services go, YoutubeTV, Netflix, and then way below those two is Hulu and Amazon.

I bought a Fire 10" tablet ($120) pretty much just for the Expanse to watch it on the plane. A phone is too small for a show like that and they don't allow downloads to laptop so I can't watch on my 17.3" laptop. I like a big screen experience

Thanks for that! I just finished watching the series yesterday and was furiously googling when s04 was releasing. Bummer that it won't be until end of year. On the bright side, it's likely all episode will come out at once.

I still need to recap a little on the ending. I was a bit lost in the last few eps.
    It the ring sentient?
    Were all those holes portals?
Did everyone go through different non-solar system portals? Why?

I think the ring is a very advanced program, but not really sentient, that's why it needed Miller to act as a go-between.

All portals, and I think a lot of people went through looking to find a new homeworld, since life in the belt is a dead end. People there are weak in gravity, getting fresh food and water is a struggle to find fresh sources, and medically remember they had to go to the Mormon ship since it had gravity, so something treatable here could kill someone there.

Anyway, great show, binged it a few weeks ago based on some of the recommendations here.

I could not get into it. It's sci fi, Jim, but not as we know it...

btw does NetFlix have a really shitty selection? I installed NetFlix on my Fire Stick and I was disappointed in the movies I could find. Does Amazon have a dumbed-down version of NetFlix I'm getting?

Netflix is losing the rights over time to most of their high quality shows. They will likely lose all the Marvel stuff when the new Disney app comes out.

Yes..IMO...Netflix has a shitty and limited selection...for their streaming site....the DVD site is
    a different story.
The two different services should not be confused...but they often are.

Are you getting the full Netflix streaming site via your Fire Stick?
I think that you should be.
I have heard of a limited Netflix site/service...but it is usually a trial or a packaged type of thing...and
I am not even sure if they still do or have that.
Are you signed up for Netflix?...are you paying for Netflix?...are you still on the first free month offer?
Are you using someone else's Netflix account/pass?
Is your Netflix account somehow packaged through your Fire Stick purchase?
(....it could be a limited trial..but I don't think that Netflix does that anymore...if they ever even did.)
I am pretty sure that you are simply accessing the Netflix app/service *via* your Fire Stick as
the pathway/streaming device to your display/TV.

It does take some getting into and understanding.
IMO...the first two seasons were a bit of a haul...but the show certainly picked up for the third season.
I am looking forward to the upcoming fourth season and I am glad that Amazon picked up the production.
