I don't wish bad on anyone, but the last thing the Mets need is their manager tied to a cheating scheme. I feel bad for everyone except those who knew what they were doing was wrong. As a Yankee fan, it annoys me so much knowing we probably would have beaten the Astros if they didn't cheat.

The Mets should have never hired him to begin with. He comes cheap is the only reason.

Big question now is, who replaces him?

I bet he helped cheat the Yankees to 100 wins the last to seasons.

I wonder if they just put Terry Collins in as manager since he was coming back as the bench coach. Beltran happened because of their cheapness as there were so many better choices that are no longer available.

    Yeah, he had to go.
Now what about players like that tiny little guy on the Astros, Altuna, who killed my Yankees by getting big hits because he knew what the pitch was going to be? He needs to be suspended for a year.

They could have had Joe Girardi, the Mets were his first choice,

Manfred's been pretty hands off with punishing the players involved, but if Altuve and Bregman actually were using some sort of electronic device under their uniforms, I don't think Manfred has a choice but to whack them as well.

He won’t. The MLBPA will file a grievance and Manfred wants no part of litigating that

Also, I suspect some Red Sox players were involved with cheating and Manfred doesn’t want to smear and suspend big name players in big markets

This is totally reminiscent of the steroid thing, where a lot of people are doing it, everyone knows a lot of people are doing it, but now the dam's ready to break on it

Jets, Mets and Knicks owners are all beyond retarded

Only reason the Mets are in semi decent shape roster wise is Minaya made some really good moves getting young prospects about 7 years ago

Thank God I’m a yankees fan - outside of them NY sports is a disaster

Joe had more baseball knowledge than the entire Mets ownership, front office, and management all put together. They never wanted to hire him in the first place, which is criminal. 90% of the fans wanted him. Now he's a Phillie. Of course, typical Mets.
