    Farmers and lumberjacks.

One of my great grandfathers was a commander in the Naval Reserve in Newport, RI. Another great grandfather was tugboat captain who would pilot ships through canals.

One of my great grandmothers worked in a bomber factory in World War II.

Not sure about great grandparents, but my grandfather had a sawmill in Minnesota in the early to mid 1900s. My dad told me about sledding down the giant sawdust piles during the winter.

I was lucky and knew three of my great grandparents, my last great grandmother died just last year and was retired from a bakery. The great grandfather I knew was a brick layer and his wife my other great grandmother was a home maker. All Italian.

Oh gosh, good question. I think I remember that my Dad said that his paternal Grandfather was a lumberjack in Maine. He was a big, burly guy. I guess my Dad's brother looks just like him. No idea about the other 3 Great Grandparents.

The were some class of Irish hoodlums.
