For me it would be the 5-year period from about 1988 to 1993, when the Sam Kinison/Jessica Hahn stuff was going on and Kinison also had a feud going with Dice Clay. In '89 they did the US Open Sores tennis match which was pretty outrageous and then of course there was the whole John DeBella thing.

I liked the Channel 9 Show years.

Lots of symbiosis between the staff, they seemed like friends, a group of friends I was in good membership, plus you got a taste of the creative process with the big payoff on Saturday.

The first couple of years of the Sirius show was just as good but on re-listening you can tell elitist Hampton's Howie was in the studio from day on and by month 10 you can tell most of the promises of the revolution was bullshit. Everything was still in the future, still a work in progress, even though Howard had a year and a half lead on KROCK to get those channels up and running. Plus, the chunks of HowardTV only visual porn porn porn were growing larger daily, reducing the quality of the show.

They were somewhat literally working themselves to death during that time period.
The hunger was never any stronger.

All I remember from the channel 9 shows were the twenty minute Snapple commercials.

    That is your loss.
Find them online and watch them....IMO they hold up.

They weren't 20 minute Snapple commercials.
