    Why not choose both.

Bacon Wrapped Filet Mignon I cooked on Monday. One of the best steaks I ever had.

It wasn't, it was exquisite although I should have taken a picture after cutting into it. That was the steak straight out of the oven resting.

I've never liked the taste of ham, bacon or other things from pigs, so I don't eat pork or anything from a pig.

Tough choice. If it was my last meal before the chair? I suppose it would be Wagyu beef of some sort. Beef has too many options. That being said I had a Cuban dish with a pork chop with a pork belly cap (like a Ribeye) that was darn close to Nirvana for me

steak can be eaten with just a little salt... Pork always needs some sauce or rub...

Until about 100 years ago, most Americans didn’t really eat much beef.

We lived on farms and raised and slaughtered pigs and hogs for food. We could salt cure the pork and keep it for a relatively long time. A family could eat a pig in a reasonable time.

Cows are big. They are needed for milk and it’s actually too much meat to eat before it would spoil. They have a long gestation period and require a lot of crops to feed and breed.

After watching the movie "Death on a Factory Farm" in 2009, I quit eating pork and beef for 5 years, but I was not strong enough to keep it up.
