I think if I can afford that pool, I can also afford the bowling ally. If I had to choose I'd take the pool.

Bowling alley. Indoor pools are gross and pointless imo.

Indoor pools are the "above ground" pools of the indoor pool world

Bowling alley for sure. Indoor pool would be nice but I think I would use the bowling alley more.

Outdoor pool has value for about 3 months a year in Chicago. Indoor would be nice not only for swimming but to have that tropical room to go to on those freezing winter days.

I think I'd get more use out of the bowling alley but the sound would suck

Indoor pool, and I can't swim. Bowling gets boring really quick.

This feels like a $50,000 vs $500,000 difference to me.

I'd much rather have the pool. I'll never be that rich. I could actually have a bowling alley one day.

When my inlaws moved out to Arizona, they told us that the new house had a pool and a pool house. I figured the pool house was a small building next to the pool for changing and keeping supplies in. Nope, get out there and it's a large building with an indoor pool....

I’d go with the pool. I live in the Midwest where winters are long and cold, so it would likely be used more than an outdoor one. The drawback is that I’d need a giant house just to keep the pool area isolated so I wouldn’t be smelling chlorine in the main living area. Of course, the chlorine would be nowhere nearly as nasty as smelling cigarette smoke all day...which I assume automatically comes with having bowlers in the house.
